What Spinjam collects.
Almost nothing. The app is built so that the interesting data never leaves your phone, which makes this page short on purpose.
Last updated 7 September 2026. Spinjam is a product of Wires and Wizards LLC.
The app
Your music never leaves the device
Spinjam reads audio files you point it at and analyses them on the phone. It does not upload your files, your library listing, or the analysis. There is no server holding any of it.
Your rides stay on the device
Ride history, saved playlists and settings are stored locally. Deleting the app deletes them.
Bike data stays on the device
Cadence, power and resistance read over Bluetooth are used during the ride and written to your local history. They are not transmitted anywhere.
Network sources
If you point Spinjam at a NAS or a media server, it talks to that server directly. Credentials are stored in the operating system's own secure storage and are never written into a saved playlist.
Streaming services
Connecting a streaming account authorises Spinjam to play from it. Analysis of a streamed track is never stored, and cached results are keyed by the recording rather than the service's own identifier.
No analytics, no trackers, no ads
The app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, and no third-party tracking.
This website
No cookies and no analytics
spinjam.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It loads no fonts, scripts or images from anyone else's server.
The beta list
If you give us your email address, we use it to send you beta builds and notes about what changed. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with an advertiser. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time by writing to patrickbrowne@outlook.com.
The list is held by an email delivery provider on our behalf. They process it under our instruction and for no other purpose.
Hosting logs
The site is served from Amazon CloudFront. Amazon records standard request logs, including IP addresses, as part of running the service. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
Your rights
Write to patrickbrowne@outlook.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Since the app stores its data on your own device, most of it is already yours to delete directly.
Children
Spinjam is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in a beta email rather than quietly editing the date at the top.
